FAQ
Why convert images to GIFs?
Twitter just released a new update that encourages users to edit your images using Grok with a button. Converting to GIF removes this option.
What image formats are supported?
JPG, JPEG, WEBP, PNG
I'm getting errors!
Either your image exceeds the 20MB file size limit, or you are trying to upload a 16K+ resolution image or an image with invalid dimensions. Repair/downscale the image first.
Will this have an impact on the quality?
Very minimal, it's mainly only noticable on extremely detailed artworks
How long will you store my images?
0 seconds. Well, technically I have to store them for a few seconds till it gets converted but after that, both the image and the GIF gets deleted. That's why there's no seperate "Download" button.
How do I remove the "Edit Image" button on my existing Twitter posts?
You can't, this tool is designed to prevent that button from appearing on new uploads only.
How can I hide the "Edit Image" button on Twitter?
If you have uBlock Origin installed, then you can add this custom filter:
x.com##a[href^="/i/imagine?postId="]:not(:matches-attr(role="menuitem")):upward(2)
Will this prevent my image from being edited by AI?
Sadly no, anyone can take a screenshot of your image and edit it with AI.
Will this prevent my image from getting trained on?
Maybe? I don't know if AI companies train their models on GIFs despite most of them being low quality.
